Your safety on board
Safety is always the top priority on all our trips. Our vessels, equipment, and procedures comply with current regulations and are approved annually by the Danish Maritime Authority, so you can feel safe throughout the entire journey.
It is always the ship’s skipper who—together with the shipping company—assesses whether it is safe to sail. The decision is based on an overall evaluation of the weather conditions, including wind, visibility, and conditions on Øresund.
Our crew has extensive experience in the area and a thorough knowledge of both the vessel and the waters.
Safety
Spar Event’s vessels, equipment, and crew are approved annually by the Danish Maritime Authority and, of course, comply with all applicable requirements and regulations. Life jackets on board may only be used in emergency situations. If you wish for your child to wear a life jacket during the trip, you must bring one yourself.
Defibrillators
Defibrillators are available on board Øby and Skipper. In the event of an incident on board, the crew’s instructions must be followed. Please feel free to contact the crew if you have any questions.
Smoking
Smoking on board is only permitted outdoors on deck. Please be considerate of other guests. Waste, including cigarette butts, must not be thrown overboard—please use the designated waste bins on deck.
What you can do
To ensure a safe and pleasant experience for everyone, it is important that you, as a guest, remain attentive and take responsibility during the trip. Small things can make a big difference. We always recommend that you familiarize yourself with the safety procedures on board. Pay attention to all safety signage, as well as escape routes and the location of life jackets on the vessel.
