The weather in Øresund
Weather forecasts are just that—forecasts. The further ahead they apply, the greater the uncertainty. Øresund often offers very good sailing conditions, as the area is sheltered between the Swedish and Danish coasts.
Assessment of the weather includes wind direction, wind speed, and visibility. Often, the wind direction is more important than the wind strength. If you have any concerns, feel free to call us and discuss the weather before your trip.
Safety
It is the ship’s skipper who—together with the shipping company—decides whether we sail or not. Our crew are experienced seafarers who know the vessel and onboard conditions like the back of their hand.

Check the weather forecast from the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI). Alternatively, you can use the Danish Defence weather service at ifm.fcoo.dk (select Øresund on the left-hand side).
Refunds
If the shipping company cancels a trip due to weather or other force majeure, guests booked on the tour will be contacted, if possible, no later than the day before departure. In the event of a cancellation on the part of the shipping company, you will be offered a new tour date or a refund of your booking. Unfortunately, we are unable to reimburse bus or train tickets, fuel costs, or similar expenses if the cancellation occurs at the time of departure.
